Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and repairing a wide range of Mechanical, Electrical, and Medical Plant & Equipment and Building faults
  • Deputising for Team Leaders
  • Undertaking authorized person/competent person roles, e.g., Legionella, medical gases pipeline systems, electrical safety, and ventilation, or deputy responsible person role
  • Calling approved Contractors for maintenance breakdowns and repairs
  • Being included on the On-Call Rota to meet emergency and urgent situations out of core working hours
  • Dealing with Major incidents such as loss of electrical services, medical gases, or heating and hot water services to critical areas
  • Motivating, training, and developing the maintenance team and apprentices
  • Planning and prioritizing work
