Position Summary:

The Engineering Technician II will be part of the Global R&D EAM Team who will provide day-to-day support on equipment service vendors, and support the Europe team with Equipment Lifecycle activities, such as onboarding, decommissioning, etc. This individual will work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment that supports multiple operations and technologies helping Illumina deliver its highly complex product pipeline reliably and sustainably.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide support related to equipment lifecycle, including calibration collection and applying service labels.
  2. Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing priorities, and redirect efforts as necessary.
  3. Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently.
  4. Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional departments.
  5. Assist with equipment labelling, data collection & analysis.
  6. Perform advanced data collection, hands-on skills, and summarize results.
  7. Maintain excellent analytical, verbal, and written documentation skills.
  8. Note that responsibilities may evolve based on business needs.
Requirements:
  1. Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing priorities.
  2. Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows.
  4. Data collection, hands-on skills, and ability to summarize results.
  5. Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  6. Typically a High School or Associate Degree with a few years of experience.
