Job summary

Ocado Group in Erith, Kent, is seeking an experienced Engineering Team Manager to lead a team of Engineers, Technicians and Trainees in our 24/7 Customer Fulfilment Centre. You will oversee workload allocation, drive standards, and support safety and compliance.

You should be a capable engineer in either mechanical or electrical streams, with experience in automated FMCG environments, and a track record of making timely decisions. A relevant HNC or degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Engineers, Technicians and Trainees in automated environments.
• Strong decision-making skills and ability to manage workload in fast-paced setting.
• Solid understanding of automation hardware/software in FMCG.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including days/nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Engineers, Technicians and Trainees to deliver mechanical and electrical outcomes.
• Allocate workload and monitor performance on a day-to-day basis.
• Address disciplinary issues and drive safety compliance in a 24/7 CFC environment.
• Maintain high standards of accuracy and pace across all engineering operations.
