Job summary

Orion Electrotech in the UK is seeking an Engineering Team Leader in Aylesbury. You’ll lead a multi-skilled engineering team, mix hands-on maintenance with data-driven decisions, coach engineers and drive CMMS utilisation to raise reliability.

The role includes creating SOPs, leading root cause analyses, and delivering lasting improvements while working Monday to Friday, 10:00am–6:30pm. A salary of £55,000–£60,000 plus a bonus reflects the scope to shape a developing function.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Engineering Team Leader or Senior Engineer.
• Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance knowledge.
• Experience within FMCG, food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics or GMP manufacturing.
• Strong CMMS and maintenance planning experience.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Proven experience improving performance through data and process improvement.
• Engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship, HNC or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of multi‑skilled engineers.
• Champion CMMS best practice and data accuracy.
• Drive PPM compliance and maintenance performance.
• Lead fault finding and root cause analysis activities.
• Create and improve SOPs, processes and training plans.
• Support engineers with hands‑on maintenance when required.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure strong communication and effective shift handovers.
