Job summary

ETS Consulting, on behalf of a leading UK specialist food manufacturer, seeks an Engineering Team Leader to oversee maintenance across automated milling, process and packing equipment in our Boston site. You will coordinate planned and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, and drive uptime teams to minimise downtime.

You will work closely with production to optimise performance, contribute to facility improvements, and maintain compliance with health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained engineer in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering required.
• Supervisory experience preferred for leading a small team.
• Good understanding of preventive/predictive maintenance (PPM) systems required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on automated milling, process, and packing equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot breakdowns to minimise downtime and ensure quick resolution.
• Work with production to optimise equipment performance and reliability.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects and maintain accurate maintenance records.

Key Skills

The Role

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of machinery and systems. Including: Automated, network-linked milling, process, and packing equipment, Gas fired ovens, Mill equipment designed to grind, sieve, store and handle ingredients, Extruders and mixers, Conveying systems with associated motors and drive systems, QR coded CMMS system, Forklift trucks, cherry picker & scissor lift, Lighting & electrical supplies, Steam boiler with associated pipework and valves, Hydraulics and pneumatics, Site amenities. Diagnose and troubleshoot breakdowns, minimising downtime and ensuring quick resolution.
• Work collaboratively with production teams to optimise equipment performance.
• Contribute to improvement projects as part of our ongoing investment in the facility.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with health & safety standards.
