Job summary

Sodexo Group is recruiting an Engineering Team Leader to manage the on-site maintenance operations at Northumbria University, Gateshead. You will lead a team of engineers and compliance operatives, delivering high-quality hard FM services across residential and communal buildings.

You will drive safety, compliance and performance, oversee PPM and reactive maintenance, coordinate specialist contractors, and report against contractual KPIs while supporting lifecycle planning and student experience

Qualifications

• Time-served Electrical or Mechanical apprenticeship with HND, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum five years' experience within building services, facilities management or plant engineering environments.
• Previous experience managing and developing engineering teams.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical and building services systems.
• Experience working with CAFM/CMMS systems, ideally Maximo.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers, handypersons and compliance operatives.
• Managing the delivery of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities across residential and communal buildings.
• Providing technical leadership across electrical, mechanical and building services systems.
• Supporting the safe operation, compliance and reliability of all engineering assets.
• Monitoring performance against contractual KPIs, SLAs and compliance requirements.
