Job summary

Myn is seeking an Engineering Team Lead in London to guide a squad of software engineers in a hybrid, permanent role. You will align technical delivery with business goals, stay hands-on with design and code reviews, and unblock the team when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience leading software engineers, as a tech lead or line manager.
• Strong software engineering background in at least one modern language.

Responsibilities

Engineering Team Lead

Do you want to lead a team of software engineers while staying close to the technical work? We’re recruiting Engineering Team Leads for several technology businesses, from growing product companies to established software firms. In each role you’ll set your team’s technical direction, develop your engineers and work with product to deliver software that matters.

The role

You’ll lead a team of software engineers and connect technical delivery with business goals. It’s a hands‑on leadership role: most of your time goes on people and delivery, but you’ll stay involved in design, code reviews and unblocking the team when it counts.

What you’ll do

• Lead, coach and develop a team of software engineers through regular 1:1s, feedback and career conversations
• Own delivery end to end, from planning and scoping through to release
• Set technical standards with your team and guide architectural decisions
• Work with product managers and other stakeholders to turn business priorities into a clear technical roadmap
• Run agile delivery, including sprint planning, managing dependencies and continuous improvement
• Champion modern engineering practice, including CI/CD, observability, security and AI-assisted development tools

What you’ll bring

• Experience leading software engineers, either as a technical lead or as their line manager
• A strong software engineering background in at least one modern programming language
• Hands‑on experience with a major cloud platform such as AWS or Azure, and with CI/CD pipelines
• A track record of delivering in agile teams
• Clear communication with product, design and business stakeholders
