American Society of Civil Engineers is seeking an experienced Engineering Surveyor to join a major highways scheme in Bedford on an initial 6-month contract. You will deliver setting out and surveying across the project, working closely with site engineers to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities include providing precise levels, coordinates, and measurements, carrying out as-built surveys, and reading engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Engineering Surveyor on highways or civil projects.
• Strong setting out experience.
• Experience on major highways/infrastructure schemes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with surveying equipment and software.
• Understanding of construction surveying principles.
• CSCS or relevant site certification.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Engineering Surveyor to join a major highways scheme in Bedford on an initial 6-month contract.

The Role

As an Engineering Surveyor, you will be responsible for providing accurate setting out and surveying support across the highways scheme. You will work closely with the site engineering and construction teams to ensure works are delivered accurately and efficiently.

• Setting out and surveying for highways and civil engineering works
• Providing accurate levels, coordinates and measurements
• Carrying out as-built surveys and maintaining accurate records
• Working from engineering drawings and specifications
• Supporting the Site Engineers and wider construction team
• Ensuring surveying activities are carried out safely and accurately
• Monitoring and checking works against design requirements
• Using relevant surveying equipment and software

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous experience as an Engineering Surveyor on highways or civil engineering projects
• Strong setting out experience
• Experience working on major highways/infrastructure schemes
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience with relevant surveying equipment and software
• A strong understanding of construction surveying principles
• CSCS or relevant site certification
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
