American Society of Civil Engineers is seeking an experienced Engineering Surveyor to join a major highways scheme in Bedford on an initial 6-month contract. You will deliver setting out and surveying across the project, working closely with site engineers to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities include providing precise levels, coordinates, and measurements, carrying out as-built surveys, and reading engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Engineering Surveyor on highways or civil projects.
• Strong setting out experience.
• Experience on major highways/infrastructure schemes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with surveying equipment and software.
• Understanding of construction surveying principles.
• CSCS or relevant site certification.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Setting out and surveying for highways and civil engineering works.
• Providing accurate levels, coordinates and measurements.
• Carrying out as-built surveys and maintaining records.
• Working from engineering drawings and specifications.
• Supporting the Site Engineers and construction team.
• Ensuring surveying activities are carried out safely and accurately.
• Monitoring and checking works against design requirements.
• Using surveying equipment and software.
