Job summary

Sodexo is recruiting an Engineering Supervisor for the University of Greenwich's Avery Hill Campus in London. You will lead a skilled engineering team within a vibrant higher education environment, ensuring safe, reliable operation of building services for student residences and campus facilities.

The role covers hard FM delivery, planned and reactive maintenance, contractor management, and safety compliance, with LV AP responsibilities.

Qualifications

• HND, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years' experience within building services or facilities management.
• Experience supervising or managing engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of multi-skilled engineers.
• Oversee the safe operation and maintenance of M&E systems across student accommodation buildings.
• Coordinate reactive and planned maintenance activities through MAXIMO.
• Ensure all statutory compliance, health and safety legislation and Safe Systems of Work are adhered to.
• Act as a key technical expert, supporting fault diagnosis across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Manage contractors and specialist suppliers, ensuring quality, safety and value for money.
• Support recruitment, training, performance management and career development within the engineering team.
• Conduct audits, inspections and compliance reviews to maintain operational excellence.
• Work collaboratively with the Engineering Lead, Facilities Management team and University stakeholders.
• Manage critical spare stock and materials to support service continuity.
• Undertake the role of Low Voltage Authorised Person (LV AP) for the campus.
