Job summary

Sodexo Ltd. at University of Greenwich Avery Hill Campus is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to lead the hard FM team responsible for reliable operation of building services in student residences.

You will manage a skilled engineering team, coordinate maintenance via MAXIMO, ensure safety and compliance, and collaborate with campus stakeholders to deliver excellent service across the estate.

Qualifications

• Lead a team of multi-skilled engineers.
• Strong knowledge of planned and reactive maintenance in building services.
• Experience supervising engineering teams and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of multi-skilled engineers.
• Oversee safe operation and maintenance of M&E systems across student accommodation buildings.
• Coordinate reactive and planned maintenance through MAXIMO CAFM system.
• Ensure all statutory compliance and Safe Systems of Work are followed.
• Act as a technical expert for fault diagnosis and resolution across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Manage contractors and specialist suppliers ensuring quality, safety and value for money.
• Support recruitment, training, performance management and career development within the team.
• Conduct audits, inspections and compliance reviews to maintain excellence.
• Collaborate with Engineering Lead, Facilities Management and University stakeholders.
• Manage critical spare stock and materials for service continuity.
• Undertake the role of Low Voltage Authorised Person (LV AP) for the campus.
