Job summary

Sodexo is seeking an Engineering Supervisor at the University of Greenwich Medway Campus to lead a residential M&E engineering team, overseeing planned and reactive maintenance across electrical, mechanical and building services systems.

You will work with the Engineering Lead to ensure maintenance is delivered safely, efficiently, and to high standards of compliance and service, guiding a team to improve performance and drive continuous improvement across the campus facilities.

Qualifications

• Hands-on leadership in engineering environments.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical and building services systems.
• Experience in maintenance planning and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of engineers across the campus
• Manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
• Coordinate engineers, subcontractors and contractors to deliver services
• Act as the key contact for engineering activities in student residential buildings
• Support safe operation of M&E systems, plant and infrastructure
• Oversee permit-to-work and safe systems of work
• Manage compliance docs, audits, risk assessments and health & safety
• Monitor contractor performance and quality of works
• Order materials, manage stock and critical spares
• Support recruitment, inductions and development of engineering staff
• Assist with performance management and workforce planning
• Act as technical expert and drive improvements
• Support campus-wide projects and operational requirements
