Job summary

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will manage PPM schedules, monitor plant performance via BMS, oversee contractors, and maintain documentation such as SOPs and MOPs to support operations.

Qualifications

• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification.
• IOSH Managing Safely certification.
• Strong knowledge of CMMS and Work Order Control processes.

Job description

We are seeking an Engineering Supervisor to play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable technical services in line with operational standards. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring technical operations are efficient, compliant, and consistently aligned with client expectations. We are looking for a hands-on engineering professional to lead the operational maintenance team. You will oversee the day-to-day delivery of site maintenance activities, support recruitment and performance management processes, and build effective relationships with clients, suppliers, and site teams while maintaining technical compliance and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the operational maintenance team to deliver safe, efficient, and reliable Hard Services maintenance activities.
• Manage, maintain, and update PPM schedules for both internal teams and external suppliers.
• Ensure the effective maintenance of building fabric, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and associated systems.
• Monitor plant and equipment performance, ensuring high levels of uptime and minimal disruption to client operations.
• Use complex BMS systems to monitor critical plant and support fault diagnosis activities.
• Deliver and maintain evidence-based technical compliance across all required stages.
• Coordinate contractor and vendor activities, including permits, safe systems of work, and subcontractor management.
• Maintain accurate operational documentation, reports, drawings, manuals, SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs to support compliance and operational decision-making.
• Understanding of maintenance operations with previous supervisory experience.
• Technical working knowledge of building infrastructure and building services systems.
• Experience managing contractors, issuing permits, and overseeing safe systems of work.
• IOSH Managing Safely certification.
• Proven hands-on experience in Hard Services within a building services environment.
• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification.
• Strong knowledge of Work Order Control processes and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Proven experience managing subcontractors and supporting supplier contracts.
• Demonstrable ability to monitor and manage KPIs.
• Experience in capacity planning and producing operational reports.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, testing equipment, and standard maintenance practices, with previous Journeyman-level experience in electrical and mechanical equipment systems.
