Job summary

O'Neill & Brennan are seeking an experienced store operative for a mechanical/engineering environment in Yeovil. You will manage the mechanical stores and stock, keep records up to date, and handle goods in and out while maintaining tidy, secure stores.

The role requires proven stores experience, ability to use stock control systems, good communication, and basic computer literacy. Counter Balance FLT license is not essential, but a UK driving licence and CSCS card are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience of working in a stores role within Mechanical / Engineering.
• Able to work with stock control systems.
• Physically fit.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Computer literate.
• Counter Balance FLT License (not essential).
• Full UK drivers licence.
• CSCS card.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the mechanical stores and stock control
• Ensure all records are up to date and accurate
• Take responsibility for goods in and goods out
• Ensure all stores are tidy, and everything is where it needs to be
• Make sure full compliance with Health & Safety
• Ensure all raw materials and finished products are stored and packed securely to avoid damage
