Job summary

DS Smith Plc in Lockerbie is seeking a Stores Coordinator to manage engineering stock, order parts, receipting and issuing stock, and to maintain accurate stock control and reporting.

You will work within the Engineering Department to ensure on-time deliveries, record stock levels, and support cost tracking across locations. Experience in a stores/engineering setting and Excel proficiency are desirable.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in a stores/engineering environment.
• SAP knowledge (desirable but not essential, training can be provided).
• Understanding of manufacturing environment.
• Good organisation, analytical, communication, time management and process improvement skills.
• Understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring spare parts are ordered on time and in full.
• Ensuring all deliveries are correct to the order, free from damage, and to the correct specification.
• Management of stock within the Engineering Stores, costs tracked and allocated.
• Allocation of spare parts required for scheduled Engineering work.
• Stock checking and recording.
• Develop, maintain, and manage rolling stock check programs ensuring stock levels are accurate, minimum, and maximum stock levels are appropriate and aged stock is managed.
