Job summary

Mitie in London is seeking an Engineering Shift Manager to lead a team of engineers and oversee critical building services. This role involves managing all Mechanical and Electrical systems on site, BMS and HV SCADA, and ensuring safety and compliance across operations.

The candidate will have experience in maintenance, RAMS approval, and CDM knowledge, with DV clearance required for this position. The role is based in London with a 42-hour week and a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance and systems management.
• SSoW permitting experience required.
• Familiarity with Schneider BMS and HV assets.
• HV authorised and CDM experience preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical installation standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all mechanical and electrical systems on site.
• Oversee BMS systems, HV SCADA, Schneider and lighting systems.
• Supervise subcontractors, approve RAMS and issue sanctions.
• Review PPM schedules and monitor KPIs and SLAs.
• Lead operations and maintenance activities safely under direction.

As the Engineering Control Room Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing all daily tasks within your remit, leading a team of engineers, and overseeing the business infrastructure.

Role Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all Mechanical and Electrical systems on site.


• Manage the BMS systems, HV SCADA, Schneider and lighting systems.


• Oversee the permittance of subcontractors, approve RAMS and issue sanctions to isolate.


• Check all PPM work and manage KPIs and SLAs. [


• Carry out operational and maintenance activities as directed by the Senior Operations Manager, ensuring all work is completed in a safe and suitable manner.

Required Qualifications:

• C&G/NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation.


• C&G 2391.


• Experience in maintenance.


• SSoW permitting experience.


• Familiarity with Schneider BMS.


• HV Authorised.


• CDM experience.
