Job summary

British Airways Engineering Gatwick is seeking a Shift Manager to lead, develop and motivate a team of engineers. The role focuses on delivering a safe and professional engineering operation to defined business and performance targets.

You will drive and maintain safe working practices, model Technical Standards, Airmanship and Collaboration across the wider engineering business, while developing colleagues to support future capability and the talent pipeline.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable structured leadership or equivalent experience.
• An Engineering Degree or other suitable qualification.
• An Aircraft Maintenance B1/B2 Licence or suitable experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shifts' production to deliver safe, compliant engineering operations.
• Drive technical, quality and airmanship standards across the team.
• Engage with unions, stakeholders and partners to model leadership and brand behaviours.
• Develop colleagues' skills and qualifications to support operational needs.
