Job summary

Fusion People Ltd in Walsall, West Midlands, is seeking an experienced Engineering Sales Manager to drive growth across the UK's engineering and manufacturing sectors. You will develop a robust pipeline, grow existing accounts and secure new business opportunities, working with leadership, estimating, engineering and production teams to align proposals with customer requirements and capabilities.

Qualifications

• Background in technical sales within engineering or industrial manufacturing.
• Experience selling project-based or engineered-to-order solutions.
• Ability to understand technical drawings and customer requirements.
• Strong negotiation and proposal-writing skills.
• Proven track record of profitable new business and long-term relationships.
• Willingness to travel with UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a sales strategy for sustainable growth.
• Identify new customers, projects and market opportunities in engineering/manufacturing.
• Build and strengthen relationships with key accounts.
• Manage the full sales cycle from enquiry to contract award.
• Maintain accurate forecasts, pipeline reporting and business development plans.
• Prepare competitive and technically credible proposals with internal teams.
• Review project scope, specifications, pricing and commercial risks.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and opportunities.
• Represent the business at customer meetings, site visits and events.
• Report on sales performance, pipeline activity and market developments.
