Job summary

System Recruitment is seeking a Technical Sales Manager Engineered Solutions based primarily in the West Midlands, ideally Birmingham area. You will combine hands-on engineering experience with technical sales to advise existing clients and win new business across Central England.

The role requires 5–10 years in engineering, an apprenticeship background, and the ability to read drawings. A commercial mindset or prior sales exposure is desirable; relocation within commuting distance is considered.

Qualifications

• Engineering apprenticeship with 5+ years hands-on engineering experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Experience or interest in Technical Sales / pre-sales direction.
• Willing to be based in West Midlands with option to relocate within commutable area.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical and commercial interface between clients and the company.
• Support site surveys, requirements, and provide engineered solutions.
• Develop opportunities from initial contact to price proposals and order handover.
• Maintain relationships across Central England and adjacent regions.
