Job summary

Meritus Talent is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to support goods-in and manufacturing processes in Bolton. You will inspect mechanical, machined and PCB components, read engineering drawings and ensure conformance to PO requirements and specs.

NVQ Level 3 and HNC/HND are essential, with a hands-on, detail-oriented approach. The role involves a 37-hour week, inside IR35, with pay starting at £29.02 per hour and rising to £30.38 per hour after 12 weeks.

Qualifications

• Must have NVQ Level 3 and HNC or HND.
• Experience inspecting mechanical/machined components.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Experience recording non-conformances and preparing NCRs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed inspection of incoming components and manufactured parts.
• Verify products against drawings, specifications and contractual requirements.
• Interpret engineering drawings and tolerances to ensure conformance.
• Perform first-off inspections and support production component approvals.
• Maintain inspection records and documentation in line with procedures.
• Identify non-conforming items and segregate to prevent use.
• Raise and manage non-conformance/defect reports.
