Job summary

Cirrus Selection invites applications for an Electrical Inspector / PCB Inspector in Bolton. This permanent role focuses on inspecting and certifying complex hardware through the product lifecycle, ensuring builds meet drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

The role collaborates with Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality teams to keep production moving, with a company bonus and enhanced benefits on offer.

Qualifications

  • Electrical inspection expertise and attention to detail required.
  • Experience reading and interpreting assembly drawings and planning instructions.
  • PCB inspection experience essential.
  • Ability to inspect mechanical hardware for damage and build integrity.
  • Proactive, self-directed, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to go the extra mile to ensure quality.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect completed hardware builds against drawings and specifications.
  • Carry out electrical and PCB-focused inspection activities.
  • Check mechanical hardware for build integrity and damage.
  • Ensure manufacturing documentation is complete and correctly certified.
  • Identify, control and process non-conformances.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and product quality.
  • Support production targets across time, cost and quality.
  • Work with Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities.

Job description

Salary: £43,537p/a depending on experience

Location: Bolton

Duration: Permanent

An opportunity for an experienced Electrical Inspector / PCB Inspector to join a busy Manufacturing Operations team, inspecting and certifying complex hardware throughout the product lifecycle.

You will play a key role in ensuring builds meet drawing, specification, quality and workmanship standards, working closely with Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality teams to keep production moving.

What will you be doing?
  • Inspect completed hardware builds against drawings and specifications
  • Carry out electrical and PCB-focused inspection activities
  • Check mechanical hardware for build integrity and damage
  • Ensure manufacturing documentation is complete and correctly certified

What we're looking for from you:
    • Qualifications required (all of the below):
    • Electrical Engineering / Manufacturing Apprenticeship (Advanced Level or L3 Standard)
    • Electrical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 3 academic qualification (ONC, diploma, etc.)
    • Electrical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 3 vocational qualification (NVQ)
  • Practiced in reading and understanding assembly drawings and planning instructions
  • Experience of PCBs essential
  • Practiced in the inspection of mechanical hardware including damage and build integrity
  • Uses their initiative and can work without close supervision
  • Goes ‘the extra mile’ to get work finished to a high standard

The Package:
