Job summary

Line Up Aviation is seeking a Goods Inwards Inspector for a 12-month contract based onsite in Bolton. You will verify received goods against purchase orders and ensure supplier deliveries meet specifications and quality criteria.

Responsibilities include reading assembly drawings, checking finishes and tolerances, producing inspection documentation, and maintaining defect reports. The role demands attention to detail and adherence to safety and manufacturing procedures.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate should be a team player who is able to demonstrate customer focus.
• Formal technical engineering/craft apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21 & HNC/HND.
• Goods in inspection experience.
• SAP literate is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Verify and accept procured product in line with contractual conditions.
• Reading and understanding assembly drawings with due regards to dimensional tolerances.
• Examine the finish of all parts to detect faulty finishing or painting, deterioration of surfaces, etc.; undertake first off inspections.
• Produce relevant inspection/quality control documentation.
• Check and complete all paperwork associated with the delivered article.
• Ensure inspections times are met.
• Control defect items via segregation from good product; raise and maintain defect reports.
• Maintain product verification approval process via regular audits; inspection of PCB.
• Ensure compliance with all procedures applicable to the manufacturing process.
• Maintain high workmanship standards and product quality.
• Contribute to an orderly and safe working environment.

Our client has an opportunity for a Goods Inwards Inspector to join them on a 12-month contract. You will be ensuring that goods received from suppliers meet the criteria of the purchase order and are compliant in all respects.

Role: Goods Inwards Inspector

Location: Bolton - fully onsite

Hourly Rate: 29302 per hour via Umbrella, inside IR35

Clearance: SC required to start

Hours: 37 hours per week

What you'll be doing:

• Verify and accept procured product in line with contractual conditions.
• Practiced in reading and understanding assembly drawings with due regards to dimensional tolerances and machined.
• Examining the finish of all parts to detect faulty finishing or painting, deterioration of surfaces etc. Undertaking first off inspections.

• Maintain product verification approval process via regular audits. Inspection of PCB
• Ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing process.
• Maintain to the highest level, workmanship standards and product quality.
