Job summary

Salt Separation Services, Rochdale, is seeking a Project Manager to lead multiple engineering projects from initiation to delivery. You will build plans, manage budgets, coordinate internal teams and suppliers, and drive on-time, on-budget outcomes.

You will work with engineers, operations and customers to define scope, mitigate risks and ensure compliance with quality standards. A strong background in project management for technical or manufacturing projects is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing engineering, manufacturing or technical projects.
• Strong project planning, scheduling and organisational skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong commercial awareness, including budget management and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Lead the successful delivery of multiple engineering projects from initiation to completion.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules and resource allocations.
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, margins and overall financial performance.
• Review and interpret contractual requirements to ensure project compliance.
• Identify, assess and manage project risks and opportunities.
• Coordinate internal departments and external suppliers to ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Manage project information and reporting through Epicor ERP.
• Monitor project performance against quality, cost and delivery (QCD) objectives.
• Lead project review meetings and ensure actions are completed effectively.
• Build strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders, managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Proactively manage scope changes and resolve project issues as they arise.
• Ensure compliance with company processes, quality standards and project governance requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance project delivery performance.
• Contribute to the development of project management best practice across the business.
• Coach and support Project Engineers and other developing team members as the function grows.
