Job summary

Thames Water is seeking a proactive Engineering Project Manager to deliver end-to-end CAPEX projects across its London sites and estate. You will oversee scoping, tendering, procurement, site setup, RAMS, CDM compliance and handover to operations.

Based at a London site with on-site work five days a week, you will manage multiple live projects, travel between sites, and receive a £4,500 car allowance plus a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Background in Engineering: Civil or Mechanical.
• Formal qualifications in Engineering (e.g., BTEC/HND) preferred.
• Knowledge of Clean Water Processing and/or Wastewater treatment is advantageous.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders (internal, site, contractors).
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, self-motivated and proactive.
• Understanding of Health and Safety standards, including CDM; training provided.
• Experience in Construction or Engineering Project Management.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver a portfolio of Mechanical, Electrical and ICA projects, values £100k–£1m each.
• Lead scoping, tendering, contractor procurement, site setup and inductions.
• Ensure CDM compliance, RAMS, CPP, and handover to operations.
• Oversee project delivery to time, cost and quality targets.
• Forecast financials and report on value of work done (VOWD).
• Collaborate with delivery partners and contractors to ensure on-time schemes.
