Job summary

Thames Water seeks a proactive Engineering Project Manager to run end-to-end CAPEX projects across its sites and estate. You will scope, tender, procure, set up sites, and lead safety inductions while delivering value for money and robust handovers to operations teams.

You will oversee multiple live projects, manage budgets, and ensure CDM compliance with your team and external contractors. A driving licence and car allowance support on-site travel.

Qualifications

• Engineering background and formal qualifications in Civil/Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• BTEC or HND in a relevant discipline encouraged.
• Knowledge of Clean Water Processing and/or Wastewater treatment beneficial.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and drive projects.
• Self-motivated, with initiative to deliver high-quality work.
• Understanding of Health and Safety standards, CDM experience.
• Experience in Construction or Engineering Project Management.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver end-to-end CAPEX projects across Thames Water sites and estate.
• Tendering, contractor procurement, site setup, inductions, and safety inspections.
• Oversee commissioning, training and handover to operations teams.
• Forecast and report project value and progress (VOWD).
• Draft RAMS, CPP and pre-construction information; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with delivery partners to ensure on-time scheme delivery.
• Ensure completion documents, test certificates, manuals and drawings are handed over.
