Job summary

DCS Recruitment is seeking a Project Manager for an innovative UK engineering and technology organisation, focusing on internal R&D and product development. You will lead cross-disciplinary teams across software, hardware and electro-mechanical domains, ensuring milestones, budgets and technical objectives are met.

The role requires strong planning, stakeholder communication and ability to drive delivery in a technical environment, while supporting development of new technologies from concept

Qualifications

• Engineering project management in technical/product development.
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams.
• Knowledge of product development processes and engineering lifecycles.
• Strong planning, scheduling and organisational skills.
• Experience managing risks, budgets and dependencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal R&D and product engineering projects from concept to completion.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans with milestones and resources.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across software, hardware, electro-mechanical design and NPI.
• Define project requirements, deliverables and development activities with engineers.
• Monitor progress against timelines, budgets and objectives.
• Manage budgets and escalate issues when needed (£50k–£2m+).
• Identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies throughout delivery.
• Lead internal reviews and gateway activities with captured actions.
• Provide clear reporting and stakeholder communications across the business.
• Support continuous improvement of project delivery processes.
