Job summary

DK Recruitment seeks an experienced Product Development Engineer to lead from development through to manufacture and ongoing improvement. You will work across design, engineering and production to solve technical problems and enhance product performance, reliability and manufacturability.

Ideal candidates will have electronics or electrical product development experience, with knowledge in analogue/digital electronics, PCB design and DFM.

Qualifications

• A degree or equivalent engineering qualification is preferred, although strong relevant industry experience will also be considered.
• Experience in electronics or electrical product development is advantageous.
• Experience in analogue/digital electronics, PCB design, hardware/software integration, testing or DFM is beneficial.

An established engineering business is looking for an experienced Product Development Engineer to join its technical team.

This is a hands‑on role focused on taking products from development and testing through to manufacture and ongoing improvement. You will work across design, engineering and production, helping to solve technical problems and improve product performance, reliability and manufacturability.

Key areas of the role include:

• Developing and improving new and existing products
• Designing and integrating electronic hardware and systems
• Supporting product testing, verification and validation
• Investigating technical issues and implementing practical solutions
• Supporting design for manufacture and continuous improvement
• Working closely with manufacturing and other engineering teams
• Contributing to customer-led projects and technical requirements
• Providing technical input and mentoring to other engineers

We are particularly interested in engineers with experience in electronics or electrical product development, ideally within a technology‑led manufacturing or engineering environment.

Experience with areas such as analogue/digital electronics, PCB design, hardware/software integration, product testing or DFM would be useful.

A degree or equivalent engineering qualification is preferred, although strong relevant industry experience will also be considered.
