Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager with a Mechanical or Electrical background to lead major engineering projects on a live industrial site in North Wales. You will manage projects from early engineering through installation, commissioning and handover, coordinating contractors, engineers, operations and safety teams.

Chartered status or formal PM qualifications are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Strong Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background.
• Experience taking projects from engineering and design through to installation and commissioning.
• Experience working on live industrial or manufacturing sites.
• Strong contractor and stakeholder management experience.
• Understanding of CDM, HAZOP and risk assessment processes.
• Experience with project cost and budget management.
• Chartered status would be advantageous.
• Formal Project Management qualifications would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical and/or electrical engineering projects.
• Develop engineering specifications and project plans.
• Manage design and procurement activities.
• Oversee installation and contractor management.
• Manage commissioning and project handover.
• Lead Management of Change processes.
• Manage CDM requirements.
• Support HAZOPs and risk assessments.
• Manage project costs and budgets.
• Lead Project and Design Engineers.
• Resolve technical issues throughout project delivery.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, effectively and to specification.
