First Recruitment Group seeks an Engineering Project Manager to lead capital expenditure projects from concept through handover. You will drive progress, manage budgets, and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver safe, compliant engineering solutions.

The role emphasizes IT/OT integration, safety compliance, and stakeholder collaboration across brownfield and greenfield infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Extensive project management experience delivering engineering capital projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical infrastructure, switchgear, motor control, and inverter systems.
• Knowledge of Operational Technology (OT) and industrial networking environments.
• Experience with PLC, SCADA, and HMI platforms.
• Experience delivering brownfield and greenfield infrastructure and network upgrade projects.
• Practical awareness of ISA-95 and ISA-88 standards.
• Experience delivering IT/OT integration projects, including OT cybersecurity risk management.
• Knowledge of process and packaging equipment integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead Capital Expenditure projects from concept through handover.
• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and change control processes.
• Lead and influence multi-disciplinary project teams to achieve objectives.
• Maintain high standards of project documentation and reporting.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout the lifecycle.
• Promote and lead a strong health and safety culture across project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with relevant construction and industrial safety regulations.
• Translate project requirements into technical engineering specifications.
• Manage external design partners and review technical designs for quality and compliance.
• Lead design reviews and ensure technical integrity of engineering solutions.
• Support infrastructure, automation, networking, control systems, and integration projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver cost, sustainability, and process improvements.
• Manage supplier and contractor performance, including cost, quality, safety, and delivery.
• Develop project budgets, cashflow forecasts, and support commercial decision-making.
• Maintain strong relationships with operational, technical, and leadership stakeholders.
