Job summary

EDF Energy is offering an Engineering Industrial Placement based on-site at Hinkley Point C, Somerset, UK. You’ll gain hands-on experience across major infrastructure projects while developing technical, analytical and collaborative skills in a safety-focused environment.

The 12-month placement starts in late 2026/early 2027 with a starting salary of 26,050 per annum. You’ll be part of a team delivering low-carbon energy solutions and gaining exposure to project planning, construction delivery

Qualifications

• Pursuing or holding a bachelors or postgraduate degree in an engineering discipline.
• Security Vetting – UK residency for at least three of the past five years.

Responsibilities

• Support project planning, construction delivery, programme controls and risk mitigation on large infrastructure projects.
• Assist with Site Nuclear Compliance activities and licence/permit obligations.
• Work on safety-focused engineering tasks and practical challenges in a nuclear environment.
