Job summary

thefutureworks is recruiting an Order Processing & Commercial Administrator in Coventry. You will manage customer orders from receipt through to delivery, coordinating with Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Finance and customers.

The role requires experience in order processing or commercial administration within engineering/manufacturing. You will use ERP systems, raise POs, and handle import/export duties, invoicing and pricing queries.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in sales order processing or commercial administration.
• Experience in engineering, manufacturing or a technical environment.
• Understanding of customer purchase orders and order processing.
• Experience raising purchase orders.
• Experience using ERP systems (Dynamics, Sage, SAP).
• Understanding of import/export and international shipping processes.
• Experience supporting invoicing and/or credit control.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Good communication with customers and internal departments.
• MS Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Process customer sales orders from receipt to delivery.
• Review purchase orders for pricing, specs, quantities and delivery.
• Liaise with Sales and Engineering to resolve queries.
• Prepare acknowledgements and communicate delivery dates.
• Monitor orders and manage delays or changes.
• Raise and process purchase orders and track supplier deliveries.
• Support import/export admin, including shipping and customs docs.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers and freight forwarders on deliveries.
• Assist invoicing and credit control, resolve pricing discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate customer, order and financial data in ERP.
