Hydro International, part of CRH, is seeking a Deputy Operations Manager in Nottingham to support delivery of engineering projects and wastewater services across the UK. You will lead multiple teams, manage budgets and drive continuous improvement in a high‑performance environment.

The role emphasizes leadership, commercial awareness and hands‑on project delivery, with an opportunity to influence safety, quality and environmental standards while supporting business growth.

Competenze

• Engineering degree or equivalent (Degree/HND)
• Proven experience delivering engineering projects from inception to completion
• Experience in water, wastewater or environmental sectors
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Knowledge of NEC3 contracts
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel

Mansioni

• Support and deputise for Area Manager as required
• Lead planning, coordination and delivery of engineering projects and repair activities
• Drive operational performance, resource utilisation and scheduling of teams
• Manage project budgets, costs and profitability
• Provide leadership, coaching and development for teams
• Conduct site visits, surveys and estimates, and prepare quotations
• Provide technical guidance across projects and manage contractual obligations
• Produce project reports and programme plans to monitor delivery
• Collaborate with stakeholders on continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental standards compliance
