Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Engineering Manager to ensure smooth operations across building engineering systems. You will supervise, schedule preventive maintenance, train staff and subcontractors, and coordinate with clients to minimize downtime.

You will monitor fire, HVAC and plumbing systems, oversee work quality, respond to emergencies, and apply broad engineering expertise to develop innovative solutions while aligning with CBRE’s values and service standards.

Qualifications

• Multi-dimensional, conceptual and innovative thinking to develop new solutions.
• Ability to identify and solve the most complex problems.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Manage operations, assign work orders, and train coworkers and subcontractors.
• Consult with clients to schedule preventive maintenance and downtime to reduce disruption.
• Formulate and implement a preventive maintenance program for machinery and systems.
• Monitor building systems (fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing) to meet design specs.
• Oversee and inspect engineering staff work and ensure completion.
• Respond to emergencies and bring in needed assistance.
• Apply extensive knowledge to create unprecedented solutions.
• Lead by example and guide others; engage with senior management and vendors.
• Drive direction and resources for programs, projects, or services.
• Influence policy design and develop innovative services or products.
