Job summary

Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking a Materials Requirements Planning Controller in Sheffield to manage supplier performance, coordinate material supply, and align inventory with production needs in a fast-paced engineering environment.

The role collaborates with Procurement, Manufacturing and Logistics to ensure on-time delivery and requires experience in materials planning or supply chain within engineering or manufacturing, plus ERP/MRP proficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in Materials Planning, Procurement or Supply Chain in engineering/manufacturing.
• Proficient with ERP and MRP systems.
• Strong stakeholder relationship skills.
• Excellent communication and MS 365 skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier relationships and performance for a designated portfolio, with reviews and KPI monitoring.
• Control procurement activities, negotiate rates, oversee price reviews, raise POs, track supplier spend.
• Ensure material availability for production, optimise inventory and MRp requirements with planning.
• Resolve supply chain issues, identify root causes, implement corrective actions.
• Maintain data integrity, support goods receipt, and provide updates on delivery status.
