Job summary

Reed is seeking a Materials Requirements Planning Controller in Sheffield to manage supplier performance and coordinate material supply for on-time production. You will work closely with Procurement, Manufacturing and Logistics to maintain a reliable supply chain in a fast-paced engineering environment.

The role requires experience in Materials Planning, Procurement or Supply Chain within engineering or manufacturing, plus strong ERP/MRP skills and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Materials Planning, Procurement or Supply chain within engineering or manufacturing.
• Proficient in ERP systems and working with MRP systems.
• Strong capability in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Days based role with early finish on Fridays.
• 35 days annual holiday entitlement.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier relationships and performance, owning a designated supplier portfolio.
• Negotiate competitive rates, manage price reviews, raise purchase orders.
• Ensure material availability for production and optimise inventory levels.
• Resolve supply chain issues, identify root causes, implement corrective actions.
• Maintain data integrity and provide timely delivery status updates to teams and customers.
