Job summary

Leeds City College is seeking a Teaching Facilitator to join our Engineering and Manufacturing team at the Printworks Campus. You will facilitate learning in classrooms and workshops and support fellow staff to deliver high-quality engineering training.

You may work with cohorts of learners, helping them develop practical engineering skills for diverse career paths, with a focus on safety, equipment setup and assessment.

Qualifications

• Experience working within the Engineering Industry and/or a workshop environment.
• Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy qualification or equivalent.
• Appropriate Level 2 qualification or willingness to work towards this (e.g., Level 2 apprenticeship in Engineering).

Responsibilities

• Prepare, deliver and set up equipment for practical sessions.
• Keep teaching spaces and equipment clean and safe.
• Carry out routine checks and report faults to the manager.
• Monitor stock and inform when supplies are needed.
• Ensure safe storage and disposal of waste and hazardous materials.
• Plan and deliver training, development and assessment plans.
• Supervise learners on work experience or placements and provide feedback.
