Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Limited in Gloucestershire seeks an Engineering Manager with a strong background in structural steel, bridges or heavy engineering to lead a high‑performing engineering team across UK and international projects.

You will own the engineering function, drive technical excellence, develop the team and deliver complex infrastructure projects while ensuring compliance with UK and international standards from the Gloucestershire facility.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in structural steel, bridges, infrastructure or heavy engineering.
• Previous leadership or management experience within an engineering environment.
• Understanding of structural design principles and relevant standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop a team of engineers, supporting performance and progression.
• Oversee design outputs including calculations, drawings and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with UK and international design standards.
• Manage resources and project priorities for successful delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement across processes, systems and standards.
• Provide technical leadership for structural steel and bridge projects.
