Job summary

Strata Construction Consulting UK Ltd in Gloucester is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our established team. You will work on a diverse portfolio of projects, developing structural concepts through to construction, across timber, steel, concrete and masonry.

Are you a Structural Engineer looking for an opportunity to join a well-established structural engineering consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality design solutions? Our client is looking to recruit a Structural Engineer to join their Gloucester office, offering the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects within a supportive and technically driven environment.

The successful candidate will join the Structural Engineering team, working on a variety of exciting projects across the commercial, retail, domestic, industrial, education and leisure sectors. You will have the opportunity to develop structural designs from concept through to construction, working with a range of materials including timber, steelwork, reinforced concrete and masonry. The role will also involve providing technical support to clients and contractors, giving you exposure to different stages of the design process and the opportunity to develop your technical knowledge and project experience.

Our client is looking for a motivated Structural Engineer with experience in structural design and a desire to develop their career within a consultancy environment. You will ideally have experience working across a range of structural materials and be comfortable contributing to projects from initial design through to construction. What You Need To Succeed

• Four to five years’ UK experience as a Structural Engineer within a structural engineering consultancy.
• Experience undertaking structural design calculations and producing engineering solutions across a range of materials.
• Knowledge of timber, steelwork, reinforced concrete and masonry design.
• Experience using structural engineering software, ideally including Tekla Tedds and Tekla Structural Designer.
• Good communication skills, a proactive approach and the ability to work effectively within a team while supporting clients and contractors.
• A strong academic background with a BEng or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Working towards chartership with the IStructE or ICE
