Job summary

ATA Recruitment Ltd seeks an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a large engineering team at a major UK food manufacturing site in Cornwall. The role emphasizes driving change, building technical capability and improving reliability and efficiency across the plant.

The successful candidate will shape engineering culture, support ongoing improvements and deliver measurable site performance gains. Relocation assistance is available for up to three months.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading engineering teams and Team Leaders.
• Track record delivering change management and performance improvements.
• Strong mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge.
• Experience improving reliability, downtime and production efficiency.
• Excellent leadership, coaching and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a large engineering team, including Team Leaders.
• Drive change management and improve accountability across an established workforce.
• Develop engineers' mechanical, electrical and fault-finding skills.
• Improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime and increase OEE.
• Improve product changeovers and production efficiency.
• Lead continuous improvement and root cause analysis initiatives.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and engineering compliance.
