Job summary

Dex is seeking a senior engineering leader to directly manage engineers across multiple squads and mentor teams responsible for intelligent, experiential, and platform initiatives. You will partner with the CTO and Product leadership to establish a planning rhythm that surfaces dependencies and risks without centralizing decisions.

You will own technical hiring and organizational design as the team scales across London and New York, assess architecture and pipelines, and translate business

Qualifications

• Direct people management experience leading software engineers in a fast-growing startup or tier-one tech company.
• Proven track record shipping distributed systems, data pipelines, or platform infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience hiring, developing, and shaping team structures as priorities evolve.
• Ability to coordinate parallel workstreams across multiple teams without micromanaging.
• Outcome-oriented management focusing on customer impact and software reliability.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage and mentor engineers across three squads—intelligence, experience, and platform.
• Partner with CTO and Product leadership to design a lightweight planning rhythm surfacing dependencies and risks.
• Own technical hiring and organizational design as the team scales across London and New York.
• Assess codebase architecture, delivery pipelines, and squad capabilities to resolve bottlenecks in high-throughput data systems.
• Translate enterprise requirements into credible, transparent roadmaps that engineers help shape.
