Job summary

Olo is a leading SaaS platform powering digital ordering, payment, and guest engagement for restaurants. We seek an Engineering Manager to scale a high-performing team, own the product roadmap, and deliver scalable, high-quality systems for clients and partners.

You will mentor engineers, drive technical excellence, and help shape our technology strategy and delivery. You will manage complex initiatives across teams, balance debt remediation with new features, and maintain a focus on performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 12+ years of engineering experience, with 2+ years in management.
• Deep knowledge of technical architecture, system design, and scalability.
• Experience collaborating across teams to develop and execute product roadmaps.
• Proven success in hiring and managing engineering teams.
• Strong history of leading and developing technical teams with performance focus.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and empathetic leadership across teams.
• Familiarity with emerging technologies and driving process improvements.
• Leads independently while aligning with company objectives.

Responsibilities

• Manage execution of engineering projects, meeting deadlines and quality standards.
• Drive identification and remediation of technical debt with product teams.
• Own and execute your team's product roadmap aligned with long-term goals.
• Develop and implement processes addressing evolving business needs.
• Keep the team competitive by adopting new technologies and best practices.
• Ensure engineering collaborates effectively with other functions to meet goals.
• Deliver scalable, high-performance systems with reliable quality.
• Regularly evaluate team performance and drive improvements.
• Resolve major technical issues and act as escalation lead for stakeholders.
• Work with clients and partners to address technical needs and solutions.
