Job summary

Balfour Beatty is seeking an Assistant Engineering Manager to join its Power T&D team in Aberdeen / Elgin, Scotland. The role focuses on supporting the Engineering Manager and Delivery Teams in delivering design and engineering outputs on time and within budget.

You'll work collaboratively to define project scope, coordinate with Project Manager and external suppliers, and monitor progress with clear reporting and risk management. A degree or relevant experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or relevant experience.
• Experience of engineering design and project administration
• Excellent administration, project controls and interpersonal skills.
• Good baseline of engineering and project management knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate contract requirements with Project Manager, customer, suppliers and other departments after award.
• Meet with Design Delivery teams to identify requirements, timelines and costs.
• Control, update and report workload progress with estimates and mitigations.
• Report variations to the Contract Scope of Work and secure approvals.
• Develop detailed Design project plans and revise as needed.
• Monitor project performance to ensure timely delivery.
• Submit project status reports to clients and stakeholders.
