Job summary

Fractile is building a full-stack AI accelerator and seeks an Engineering Manager for Compilers to lead a 10+ person team developing the compiler stack for our novel AI hardware. You will shape architecture, guide the IR design, lowering strategy, and execution model, and collaborate with hardware, kernel, runtime and ML engineers.

This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced environment where you own the delivery roadmap and mentor engineers.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of leadership experience managing a high-performance development team and delivering consistently outstanding outcomes.
• Proven experience in compiler development with machine learning compilers; MLIR/TVM is a significant advantage.
• Up-to-date knowledge of machine learning techniques and technologies.
• A good understanding of computer architecture and performance optimisation techniques.
• Excellent C/C++ skills and experience with standard development tools and technologies.
• A creative and innovative mindset with ownership and delivery focus in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a compiler team of 10+ engineers across the software and hardware interface.
• Shape architecture of a compiler from first principles and guide IR design, lowering strategy and execution model.
• Collaborate with hardware, kernel, runtime and ML engineers to deliver end-to-end inference performance on Fractile accelerators.
• Make architectural decisions in the face of ambiguity and hire and develop talent to sustain delivery.
