Decarbonisation / Energy Efficiency - Building Services

Location: Stoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom

Circular Resourcing is recruiting for an Engineering Manager (Mechanically Biased) to join a well-established consulting and engineering business in the Building Services sector.

Our client offers a range of decarbonisation and energy efficiency services within the building services / commercial real estate sectors and is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a technical engineering team and work closely with the Commercial Director to develop solutions that increase market share.

  • Location: Stoke-on-Trent, with hybrid working options.
  • Salary: Open to realistic expectations to secure the right candidate.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage a team of M&E Design Engineers, supervising project activities.
  • Liaise with client stakeholders to develop bespoke solutions.
  • Develop client proposals with the Commercial Manager and Engineering Director.
  • Create project, resource, and budget plans with the PMO team.
  • Prioritise projects and resources to meet deadlines.
  • Conduct detailed building surveys to identify energy efficiency opportunities.
  • Prepare energy audit/review reports and recommendations.
  • Perform building analysis using simulation software.
  • Prepare GHG emissions reports.
  • Conduct feasibility studies for renewable power and heat generation.
  • Create financial models for building services upgrade projects.
  • Oversee building services upgrade and refurbishment projects with the PMO team.
  • Deliver ESOS assessments (training provided).
  • Conduct Non-Domestic EPCs up to Level 5 (training provided).
