Job summary

VEKA UK Group, based in Burnley, seeks an Engineering Manager to provide end-to-end leadership of the site’s engineering function, driving reliability, maintenance excellence, and capital projects to deliver sustainable performance. You will develop a high-performing team, set technical standards, and ensure governance and compliance while aligning with VEKA’s values and strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification or suitable engineering qualification.
• Proven track record in senior engineering leadership role.
• Strong experience in asset reliability and maintenance strategy.
• Experience in capital project delivery, ideally within manufacturing.
• Experience leading multi-layered teams and influencing senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the site’s engineering strategy, technology roadmap, and technical standards.
• Lead asset lifecycle management, reliability engineering, and maintenance excellence to maximise performance.
• Own the engineering capital investment programme and deliver projects that improve capability and ROI.
• Drive data-led problem solving, continuous improvement, and process optimisation.
• Build and structure a high-performing engineering organisation with clear accountability.
• Ensure robust engineering governance and regulatory compliance as part of Site Leadership Team.
