Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the engineering and reliability strategy for a brand-new manufacturing plant in Ellesmere Port. You will guide hot commissioning, ramp to full capacity and establish a robust planned-maintenance culture from day one.

The role covers heavy engineering and process automation, with a target 80–85% planned maintenance and strong emphasis on CMMS, reliability KPIs and safe operations.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading engineering/maintenance in manufacturing
• Experience delivering planned maintenance via RCM/TPM
• Hands-on commissioning and start-up of heavy process plant
• Proven ability to lead teams through commissioning to stable operations
• Strong safety and permit-to-work / LOTO governance

Responsibilities

• Lead Engineering & Reliability through start-up to full operation
• Design and implement a planned-maintenance culture (80–85% planned) using RCM/TPM
• Coordinate hot commissioning of all new plant equipment (Nov/Dec 2026)
• Establish commissioning procedures, punch-list control and operator training support
• Drive high planned-to-unplanned work ratio and reliability KPIs (MTBF/MTTR)
• Select/configure/embed a CMMS for planning, scheduling and reporting
• Manage stores, spares and OEM/vendor relationships
• Ensure compliance with UK health and safety and statutory inspections
