Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead engineering activities within manufacturing processes and product execution. You will collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Planning, Supply Chain, and Operations to align technical and organizational goals and drive production excellence.

This site-based leadership role requires strong cross-functional leadership, strategic input on future directions, and a proven track record in managing sizable teams and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Principal Manufacturing Engineer or equivalent senior engineering role.
• Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, engineering systems, and production operations.
• Ability to operate in a cross-functional and global matrix organization.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Leading engineering activities related to manufacturing processes, ensuring alignment between design intent and production execution.
• Managing complex manufacturing environments with customized solutions tailored to customer requirements.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Maintenance, Planning, Supply Chain, and Operations) to ensure technical and organizational alignment.
• Defining and implementing approaches for complex production and engineering challenges.
• Leading a medium-sized manufacturing or engineering organization with accountability for performance and budget (typically exceeding $5 million).
• Supporting strategic discussions regarding future business direction, capabilities, and operational improvements.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing processes, quality, and productivity.
• Ensuring compliance with engineering standards, company policies, and applicable regulations.
