Job summary

Cure Talent are delighted to partner with an established engineering manufacturer in Kent for an Engineering Manager role. You will lead a multidisciplinary team spanning Mechanical, Electronics and Software, providing technical direction and hands-on leadership.

You will oversee activities from concept through to manufacture, ensuring quality, cost efficiency and robust governance while developing high-performing teams within a complex engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Significant experience at Engineering Manager/Head of Engineering or equivalent in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Proven people-management experience incl. recruitment, performance management, coaching & development.
• Strong product development lifecycle experience from concept to manufacture/scaling.
• Experience in complex engineering sectors (defence, aerospace, medical devices, electronics, etc.).
• Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Physics or related technical discipline with good communication & problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop multidisciplinary engineering teams across Mechanical, Electronics and Software.
• Oversee engineering delivery from concept through design, qualification, manufacture & installation.
• Coordinate design reviews, decisions and risk mitigation across disciplines; ensure manufacturability & compliance.
• Improve processes, documentation, configuration control and governance; drive reliability and quality.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and other functions on roadmaps, innovation, cost reduction and transitions to production.
