Bluebolt Recruitment seeks an Engineering Manager to lead a multidisciplinary engineering function in Kent. You will provide technical direction while delivering hands-on people leadership, guiding activity from concept through to installation of complex engineered solutions.

The role suits an experienced Engineering Manager with strong product development capabilities, capable of improving processes and building high-performing teams in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams (Mechanical, Electronics, Software) and people management.
• Experience overseeing design through qualification, manufacture and installation of complex products.
• Strong capability in process improvement and governance within engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop multidisciplinary engineering teams across Mechanical, Electronics, Software and related disciplines, including recruitment, onboarding, one-to-ones, performance reviews, coaching and career development.
• Oversee engineering delivery from concept and design through qualification, manufacture and installation, ensuring quality, cost, schedule, safety and technical performance.
• Coordinate design reviews, technical decisions and risk mitigation across disciplines, ensuring products and systems are practical, manufacturable, serviceable and compliant with relevant standards.
• Improve engineering processes, documentation, configuration control and governance, embedding lessons learned and driving reliability, efficiency and development quality.
• Work closely with manufacturing and other functions on resource planning, technology roadmaps, innovation, cost reduction, bids, feasibility assessments and transition of products from development into production.
