RHL in Mid Kent is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a multidisciplinary engineering function across mechanical, electronic, software and physics teams within an R&D and product development environment. You will deliver technically robust, manufacturable, and commercially viable solutions that align with business goals and manufacturing capability.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Physics or similar
• Significant experience in multidisciplinary engineering environments
• Proven leadership of engineering teams and complex projects
• Strong knowledge of the product development lifecycle
• Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and resource multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Oversee delivery from concept through manufacture and installation
• Run cross-functional design reviews and technical decision-making
• Ensure designs are safe, compliant, practical and manufacturable
• Identify technical risks and implement mitigation actions
• Improve engineering processes, documentation standards and governance
• Contribute to engineering strategy, planning, budgeting and proposals
• Ensure technical qualification of manufactured/installed products
