Job summary
RHL in Mid Kent is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a multidisciplinary engineering function across mechanical, electronic, software and physics teams within an R&D and product development environment. Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Physics or similar
- Significant experience in multidisciplinary engineering environments
- Proven leadership of engineering teams and complex projects
- Strong knowledge of the product development lifecycle
- Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and resource multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Oversee delivery from concept through manufacture and installation
- Run cross-functional design reviews and technical decision-making
- Ensure designs are safe, compliant, practical and manufacturable
- Identify technical risks and implement mitigation actions
- Improve engineering processes, documentation standards and governance
- Contribute to engineering strategy, planning, budgeting and proposals
- Ensure technical qualification of manufactured/installed products
